Trouble Me
I can not take a composition in eighty words. It is too difficult for me to do it. Because the composition in English is more different than the composition in Chinese I ever think. I can take Chinese with my mind easy. I know English Grammar. But when I take a composition, I will forget all of how to use them. It is the one of trouble me to do it. I don not know what should I do. And please to tell me how to solve this problem?

Hello Daniel,
Sorry my computer broke down yesterday so I couldn't give you my feedback yesterday.
OK, let's first take a look at your sentence structure and grammar.
1. We use "write" a composition rather than "take."
2. "in eighty words" suggest "within" eighty words. Thus, to express your idea, you should use "of eighty words" or "more than eighty words."
3. "Because" is a conjunction. which means it is used to link two sentences, and therefore you should write "It is too difficult for me to do it because...."
4. "I ever think" can be omitted, or you can put "I think" right after "Because."
5. About punctuation. To make your expression more fluent, you should use comma here: "I know English grammar, but when I write a composition, I forget...."
6. To express you forget how to use grammar, just say: "I forget ("will" should be omitted since you are talking about a fact) how to use it("grammar" is uncountable)."
7. To say that you forget how to use grammar and it is a trouble for you, you can write "It is what troubles me to write an English composition."
8. The second sentence from the bottom should be "I do not know what I SHOULD DO."
9. The last sentence should be "Please ("and" can be omitted) tell me (no "to" after "please")how to solve the problem. (use "period" here because it is not a question)
10. The title should always be "noun" so you should write "My Trouble."
All right, as to your problem, let me first congratulate you that this composition is more than 80 words, and it is a comprehensive one. Good job!
Every one whose native language is not English would face the same problem as you do. I faced the problem too when I first tried to write an English composition. The core of this problem is the unfamiliarity with English. This situation is just like a foreigner tries to use the chopsticks. Although he knows the structure of chopsticks and the theory of how they can pick up food, and can even tell others how to use them, when it comes to using chopsticks in a real situation, he will still encounter many problems. Chopsticks are like English grammar, and the the act of picking up food is like writing a composition. To deal with every kind of food needs practice, "real" practice, since only through it can one be familiar with the tool, and once one is familiar with the tool, he can handle it easily and delicately no matter what strange food is in front of him. The situation is the same with English writing. Practice it, be familiar with the different sentence structures, and then you can write in English as easily as you can in Chinese.
So, keep up with the practice. Three compositions a week. Your pains will surely have reward.
Terence
